We were thrilled when Manda contacted us earlier this year with a description of the elegant wedding ceremony set up she envisioned. We love it when brides are brimming with great ideas and allow us to bring their vision come to life.
Before the wedding took place I met with Manda and Shane at Harrigans Drift Inn and I could see why they fell in love with this great venue. Tucked out of the way on the coast at Jacobs Well, the venue allows for a thoroughly enjoyable ceremony for all, with the ceremony, reception and photo shoot taking place all at the one location so no worrying about the logistics of getting guests from A to B. Not to mention the awesome Irish pub on site so guests can enjoy a pre or post ceremony drinkie or 2 in the comfort of this great venue.
We discussed where the ceremony would take place and we agreed that the wedding aisle would commence with Manda being walked between 2 trees. I instantly felt the urge to add some tree hanging décor to the 2 small trees, complimenting the couples theme and colours to add to the ceremony, thankfully I was on the same page with Manda and Shane with this.
Manda and Shane’s wedding was contemporary and elegant incorporating the colours black, white and silver. While keeping the majority of the décor white, this really enhanced the colours of the lovely long flowing graduated grey bridesmaids dresses and the groomsmens suits.
Manda visioned having 2 podiums containing a romantic array of cream coloured fresh florals creating a stunning entrance to the wedding aisle. We added a fresh rose petal aisle which really added to the romance of the day as Manda was walked down the aisle by her father who ‘gave her away’ and she held hands and locked eyes with her groom who was clearly in awe as he took in how beautiful his bride looked as she smiled back at him.
The ceremony took place with our elegant arch perfectly framing the bride and groom as they repeated their vows which were full of love and laughter to one another.
We take pride in our ceremony equipment being just as practical as it is beautiful and while it was a particularly windy day, our custom designed ceremony arch was strongly secured to the ground enabling it to stand strong and stable and withstand the strong winds on the day.
The arch was decorated with rose florals and fresh babies breath. We loved the dimension and femininity that these florals gave the arch.
After sharing their first kiss as husband and wife the couple made their way to the signing table, which was dressed with our fitted tablecloth another great practical item for potentially windy days as it sits snugly in place.
The bride and groom along with their witnesses signed their marriage certificates to the sound of the very fitting ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ by Stevie Wonder.
Following the signing the bride and groom were announced husband and wife and beaming with happiness they made their way back down the aisle, followed by their bridal party where they were showered with fragrant fresh rose petals by their guests, sharing in the excitement of the moment.
Following photos in the lovely grounds of this venue, the happy couple made their special entrance to the onsite marquee where their reception took place and they celebrated the night away.
Along with several other vendors that Manda and Shane carefully selected for their special day, we were over the moon to receive a sweet email from the bride at 9am the very next morning expressing their happiness and gratitude in the service we provided.
Congratulations Manda and Shane, you are a truly gorgeous couple and we wish you every happiness for your future together, thank you for choosing Brisbane Wedding Decorators to create your Harrigans Drift Inn ceremony set up.
