Congratulations to this stunning bride and her dashing groom on their beautiful personalised wedding ceremony at the iconic New Farm Park Rotunda.

Brisbane Wedding Decorators loved making the most of the sunshine and blue skies and creating the outdoor ceremony setup at New Farm Park and showcasing beautiful Brisbane to the guests, some of whom travelled all the way from the UK to attend.

Congratulations and best wishes to the new Mr & Mrs!

The guests showered the couple with fresh rose petals as they made their way back down the aisle, such a beautiful moment of pure happiness to witness.

Newstead Park Rotunda wedding with a hint of vintage

It was such a pleasure creating Crystal and Joe’s Newstead Park Rotunda wedding set up. We were so excited when the bride informed me she would love to incorporate a subtle vintage theme to their wedding styling to compliment her and her bridesmaids stunning brooch bouquets.

We based our styling around our popular ‘Beautiful Rotunda’ ceremony package and added lots of gorgeous details to really personalise this ceremony, including tree hanging décor, our signature white wedding chandelier and our cute glass bottles wrapped with lace containing floral décor lining the aisle.

The brides niece looked super cute holding our ‘Here Comes The Bride’ sign down the long winding path of Newstead path, followed by the stunning bride and her proud father.

As a January bride and groom they were very thoughtful in ensuring their guests were comfortable and kept well hydrated with our chilled aqua bar.

A Harrigans Drift Inn wedding ceremony set up oozing with style, class and elegance

We were thrilled when Manda contacted us earlier this year with a description of the elegant wedding ceremony set up she envisioned. We love it when brides are brimming with great ideas and allow us to bring their vision come to life.

Before the wedding took place I met with Manda and Shane at Harrigans Drift Inn and I could see why they fell in love with this great venue. Tucked out of the way on the coast at Jacobs Well, the venue allows for a thoroughly enjoyable ceremony for all, with the ceremony, reception and photo shoot taking place all at the one location so no worrying about the logistics of getting guests from A to B. Not to mention the awesome Irish pub on site so guests can enjoy a pre or post ceremony drinkie or 2 in the comfort of this great venue.

We discussed where the ceremony would take place and we agreed that the wedding aisle would commence with Manda being walked between 2 trees. I instantly felt the urge to add some tree hanging décor to the 2 small trees, complimenting the couples theme and colours to add to the ceremony, thankfully I was on the same page with Manda and Shane with this.

Manda and Shane’s wedding was contemporary and elegant incorporating the colours black, white and silver. While keeping the majority of the décor white, this really enhanced the colours of the lovely long flowing graduated grey bridesmaids dresses and the groomsmens suits.

Manda visioned having 2 podiums containing a romantic array of cream coloured fresh florals creating a stunning entrance to the wedding aisle. We added a fresh rose petal aisle which really added to the romance of the day as Manda was walked down the aisle by her father who ‘gave her away’ and she held hands and locked eyes with her groom who was clearly in awe as he took in how beautiful his bride looked as she smiled back at him.

The ceremony took place with our elegant arch perfectly framing the bride and groom as they repeated their vows which were full of love and laughter to one another.

We take pride in our ceremony equipment being just as practical as it is beautiful and while it was a particularly windy day, our custom designed ceremony arch was strongly secured to the ground enabling it to stand strong and stable and withstand the strong winds on the day.

The arch was decorated with rose florals and fresh babies breath. We loved the dimension and femininity that these florals gave the arch.

After sharing their first kiss as husband and wife the couple made their way to the signing table, which was dressed with our fitted tablecloth another great practical item for potentially windy days as it sits snugly in place.

The bride and groom along with their witnesses signed their marriage certificates to the sound of the very fitting ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ by Stevie Wonder.

Following the signing the bride and groom were announced husband and wife and beaming with happiness they made their way back down the aisle, followed by their bridal party where they were showered with fragrant fresh rose petals by their guests, sharing in the excitement of the moment.

Following photos in the lovely grounds of this venue, the happy couple made their special entrance to the onsite marquee where their reception took place and they celebrated the night away.

Along with several other vendors that Manda and Shane carefully selected for their special day, we were over the moon to receive a sweet email from the bride at 9am the very next morning expressing their happiness and gratitude in the service we provided.

An amazing retro vintage styled surprise vow renewal ceremony

We were absolutely thrilled to be invited to collaborate with an incredible team of very generous and very talented wedding professionals to surprise this very deserving couple with a surprise vow renewal ceremony.

Melissa and Aaron met and fell in love when they were sweet young teenagers, many years and 3 daughters later they set a date for their wedding to take place in the ceremony gardens at The Glen Hotel in Eight Mile Plains, they shared a wonderful day with family and friends, however the memories of the day remained as just that, memories as sadly the newlyweds never received a single image from their original wedding photographer.

Their story made it’s way back to 2 very thoughtful and generous individuals, Deb of Boots Photography and Anne of The Rose Room who coincidently had been planning a vintage/ retro style photo shoot, incorporating Annes divine vintage china collection.

Before we knew it, Deb had pulled together a team of fantastic wedding suppliers including Giulia Ponticello Mobile Makeup Artist and Tegan from Blossom and Twine. The pinnacle of the day was a big surprise to the couple, Deb arranged for Ciara Hodge from Brisbane City Celebrants, their original Celebrant to put together and perform a surprise vow renewal ceremony mid photo shoot to allow the couple to re-live the special moments of their day only this time have those memories captured.

The Brisbane Wedding Decorators team had the pleasure of styling our elegant arch and creating a ceremony set up to fit with the retro vintage theme, so we draped our ceremony arch with lace and our signature chandelier creating a gorgeous back drop for the surprise vow renewals, without subtracting from the beautiful country surrounds.

The day was a huge success and as you can see the photos by Boots Photography are gorgeous. Having this vow renewal ceremony featured on Polka Dot Bride made this day even more special for all involved.
